1. Data We Collect
- Account data: email, name, and identity provider (Apple, Google).
- Profile data: nickname, language, timezone, country, premium status.
- Usage data: chat messages, diary entries, mood logs, mission progress. We use this to provide the Service.
- Device data: platform (iOS/Android/web), push tokens, device language.
- Safety signals: aggregated counts of crisis-pattern detections used to improve the safety system. We do not retain the raw text of false-positive reports.
2. How We Use Data
- To run the Service (chat, diary, missions, notifications).
- To improve AI character responses and safety classifiers.
- To send service notifications (push, email) — see notification controls below.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with processors that help operate the Service (cloud hosting, AI model providers, payment platforms, push providers) under appropriate contracts. AI model requests are sent to vetted providers and may be subject to their respective policies.
4. GDPR (EU / UK Users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@feelians.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
5. CCPA / CPRA (California Users)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information.
6. Children
The Service is not directed to children under the minimum age required by the applicable App Store rating. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such users. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. AI & Safety Disclaimer
Feelians is not a medical service or substitute for professional mental health care. The AI characters provide emotional journaling and reflective support and may include safety messaging when crisis signals are detected. If you are in crisis, please reach a qualified professional or your local emergency line.
8. Retention
We retain account and usage data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations and to provide the Service on resume. You may delete your account in-app, which deactivates the account and removes access to the conversation history and emotional analysis.
9. Security
We use industry-standard encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage strong account practices on the user side.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email at least 7 days before they take effect.
